BSPI will start distributing SBT (Soul Bound Token) as a membership card to support LDP Web3 Project Team Chairperson and House of Representatives member Masaaki Taira. The House of Representatives Representative Masaaki Taira is currently a member of his own organization. Masaaki Taira, a member of the House of Representatives, is currently conducting a demonstration experiment to introduce eKYC into the LDP membership process. The SBT of Mr. Taira’s character “Taira-kun” will be distributed only to those who have completed the party membership application process. This is the first attempt among Japanese Diet members to issue SBT as a membership card to members of their own support group.
This initiative is a collaboration between IndieSquare Inc.
The SBT to be distributed this time will be a non-transferable NFT “SBT (Soul Bound Token)”. The SBT will be issued using HAZAMA BASE, a web3 platform provided by IndieSquare, Inc. that allows anyone to easily issue NFTs and create DAOs (decentralized organizations) for free.
- We are planning to hold an event in September this year exclusively for those who have acquired the SBTs distributed this time.
- The number of SBTs to be distributed is limited to 1,000. No more will be issued. It will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
- There is no gas (fee) required to issue SBTs. It can be issued without gas.
- LDP member application through eKYC is limited to Tokyo residents only.
- The LDP member application process takes a minimum of one week from screening to issuance of the party membership card, and usually takes two weeks.
