Participated as an observer in the joint meeting of the LDP Digital Society Promotion Headquarters and web3PT on “Zero Knowledge Proof and Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC)

　Last month, on June 14th, our company had the privilege of participating as an observer in the joint meeting of the Liberal Democratic Party Digital Society Promotion Headquarters and Web3PT. The agenda focused on zero-knowledge proofs and Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). During this Web3PT event, presentations were given by the Ethereum Foundation (EF) and Soramitsu Co., Ltd.

　Ms. Aya Miyaguchi, the Executive Director of EF, provided a report on the status of ETHGlobal Tokyo, which took place in April, and shared insights and proposals regarding the future of Web3 talent in Japan. Furthermore, Mr. Barry Whitehat and Mr. Takamichi Tsutsumi, top engineers at EF, explained specific use cases of zero-knowledge proofs and discussed digital governance utilizing zero-knowledge proofs.

　Mr. Kazumasa Miyazawa, the President and CEO of Soramitsu Co., Ltd., discussed the current situation of Cambodia’s CBDC called “Bakong” and initiatives related to payment methods in Southeast Asia and other countries.

　After the presentations and explanations by each party, a Q&A session was held. Various questions were posed by attending members of the parliament, and EF and Soramitsu provided responses, leading to lively discussions.

　We feel honored to have participated in the Liberal Democratic Party Web3PT as an observer and to have supported EF and Soramitsu in our own small way. We are committed to contributing to the development of the Web3 and blockchain industry in various ways in the future.
